Do Wheelchair Tire Covers Fit 25 and 26 inch Wheels?

Wheelchair Slippers Fit 25 Inch Tires

(and Most 26 Inch Tires Too)!

RehaDesign Wheelchair Slippers have been a trusted solution for manual wheelchair users for over two decades. They are known for their ability to maintain a clean and scuff-free environment within the home. While originally designed for 24-inch tires, their versatility and stretchability make them compatible with a range of wheel sizes, including 25 tires. Now we know that they will work for some 26 tires inches too!

Versatile Fit

When it comes to protecting floors and carpets from dirt and scuff marks caused by wheelchair tires, RehaDesign Wheelchair Slippers offer a versatile solution. These tire covers were initially intended for 24-inch tires, but thanks to their elasticity, they can comfortably accommodate most 25-inch tires. However, we had never tried them before for 26 inch tires.

Recently a customer from Canada made an interesting discovery with RehaDesign Wheelchair Slippers. She initially purchased them for her 24-inch tires but also had a wheelchair equipped with 26-inch tires. To her delight, she found that these tire covers fit her 26-inch wheels just as effectively, showcasing the remarkable flexibility and adaptability of RehaDesign's product as you can see from her photo below.

How can you tell if our slippers will fit you tires?? It is easy! Just measure the diameter of your tire at the biggest point as shown in the photo below. This tire has a diameter of just under 23 inches or 58 cm.

Our Slippers have a circumference of 1.92 meters. This means they will fit tires with a diameter less than 24 inches. The tire in the photo above is "24 inch". But as you can see the diameter is actually much less than that.  Many 25 and 26 inch tires actually have diameters under 24 inches. If your tire diameter is less than 24 inches (61cm), our Slippers will work for you.

Maintaining a Clean Home

One of the primary benefits of Wheelchair Tire Covers is their ability to help you maintain a clean and hygienic home environment. Wheelchair tires can often track in dirt, mud, and debris from outside, leading to dirty floors and carpets. Additionally, scuff marks caused by wheelchairs can mar the appearance of your home's interior.

By using RehaDesign Wheelchair Slippers, you can significantly reduce the amount of dirt and grime brought into your home. These tire covers act as a protective barrier, preventing your wheelchair tires from transferring dirt and scuffs to your floors and carpets. This not only saves you the hassle of constant cleaning but also helps prolong the life and appearance of your flooring.
